Track Software Implemented in South Africa

Management Controls, Inc. has announced Track™ v6.0 Enterprise implementation at Chevron’s Cape Town, South Africa refinery. Chevron Corporation (NYSE: CVX) chose market-leading Track™ Enterprise project cost control software in March 2008 to manage contract labor cost and performance at all of its wholly owned refineries worldwide.

This strategic decision to employ Track globally was made after successful implementation at Chevron refineries in El Segundo, California, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Pascagoula, Mississippi, where it is saving the company’s turnaround and maintenance groups millions of dollars. The Cape Town, South Africa implementation completes the fourth of seven refineries to undergo Track completion. Chevron will deploy Track at the rest of its global, wholly owned refineries in early of 2009.

Martha Franklin, a Track implementation consultant at the site states, “The Cape Town refinery management was excited to see Track immediately deliver contract labor cost daily almost automatically. Drill down capabilities showed who worked on the project and individual labor costs. Prior to Track, project cost was done monthly, required many man hours, and took weeks to create. Track creates real time project cost for the Cape Town refinery. As expected, the Cape Town team was pleased with the new visibility and control Track brought to the refinery.
