Valero and Management Controls, Inc. Launch SAP/Track™ Web Services Integration and Upgrade to Track v5.2
Houston, Texas — January 2007

Through a joint integration effort, Valero and Management Controls, Inc. have successfully implemented a real-time, XI interface between Track and SAP, based on SAP’s NetWeaver technology.

Valero is rolling out the new interface to all Valero sites running Track v5.2. Sites running earlier versions of Track will be upgraded to v5.2 before the new XI technology is deployed. Track integration has undergone rigorous testing and is SAP xApps™ (PCA) Certified / Powered by NetWeaver®.

Valero is receiving the benefit of automated SAP MM Service Entry transaction and PM Time Confirmations from Track. Automated error-handling makes the exception process extremely easy. The new interface contains functionality that notifies successively higher management levels until Valero authorizations are performed in Track to ensure the vendor is paid for accepted work. Finally, the Valero representative is alerted prior to authorization if the PO limit will be exceeded and if the current invoice is authorized.
